Summer is unbearable for all people and what if one gets her pregnancy days in summer. One can guess how tough it is for those women who are going to bear the summer hot during their pregnancy. Generally, a woman gets high body temperature due to the extra blood flow and the weight they put on in her pregnancy. To make the situation worse in summer, heat wave fills the rest. But that does not mean that one can avoid pregnancy in summer; there are many different ways to keep an expectant mom cool in summer days.  Besides your air conditioner, you need to follow other tips that help temperature down.  We give some easy and simple tips for hot weather pregnancy.

1. Increase the fluid intake:

In the summer days, you tend to suffer from dehydration so drink at least 8 glasses of water for your summer pregnancy.  You can go for the sip of orange juices, milk and sport drinks as energy drinks to make up the electrolytes in the body.

2. Cuts down your sodium level:

Reduces the level of your sodium intake, that in turn cuts down your swelling, which is important in the summer season to stay active and it is must to do thing for the pregnant woman.

3. Go for swimming:

Swimming helps you to feel light as it reduces the stress from the sciatic nerve and keep you fresh and energetic in summer days too.

4. Comfort clothing:

In summer, you can try the light-colored dresses that give you a soothing feeling though wearing the lightweight cloth is also comfortable such as cotton and linen; these prevent sweat and make you cool.

5. Minimize your sun exposure:

It is obvious that in summer, you feel exhausted but to avoid such situation, you need to minimize your sun exposure. Avoid the outing from 10 am to 4 pm, as mercury at this time is high on its scale.

6. Use high SPF for summer:

Generally, people use SPF 15 for the sunscreen, but you need a higher SPF than that during your pregnancy to take care of your skin.  As melanin production increases in summer, you need protection.
